PRAYER MOVES MOUNTAINS

The troubles that this life hold sometimes makes us do wired things and immoral activities like killing, prostitution, murder and rapping. These are the reasons why many people end up behind bars all in the name of trying to solve poverty problems.

An old man in china, a pastor in his village, lived next to a very rich politician who owned a lot of cows and would sell the milk to the villagers at a very high price that some of them like this old pastor, Mr. Dave, could not afford. He mistreated his workers to working overtime with no commission and would sack anyone who dared to complain. He took the piece of land the old man relied on to put bread on his familys’ table but Dave would not complain, he would just pray that God works out His plan for him. Although the situations got worse, Dave kept on praying and thanking God for the good deeds and plans He has for him.

One day as Dave was teaching his child about Jesus’ goodness, two cows belonging to the politician came to sleep at his homestead. Knowing the kind of man his neighbour was, he rushed the cows back to their home and explained what had happened. On the next day, the same cows walked right in with three more and slept there again. This behavior continued and the politician could do nothing but give out the cows that refused to return back home. Dave worked hard looking for these cows’ foods and then started selling his milk to the people at a cheaper and very affordable price. Soon, the politician lost market to sell the milk to so he ended up giving off all his cows to Dave and travelled away from his village to a far country.

God listens to prayers of the righteous and also those who are not righteous. He keeps every promise He ever makes. Your story will be unbelievable like Daves’ for God is going to work wonders for your life.

DECEIVING THOUGHTS

There comes a time when you can get that terrible urge that you really need something and you have to have it no matter what the cost would be. These feelings can sometimes be really insane especially if it’s a carving for some kind of a meal, drink or even activity, but what if your need is on a rather serious angle and you’ve held it since childhood?

There was a European man who used to save money so that he could travel to the US. He would work really hard and save as little as he could with the hope of managing to get a ticket to the ship travelling to the states. Finally after so many years, he got his target and bought a ticket. He was very excited about the trip for he had been looking forward to this day for very long. There were a lot of people travelling at that time, especially the richest persons in Europe.

He was shown into his room and settled putting his little luggage on a shelve near his window. While in the ship, meals were served in the restaurant but whenever it was meal time, he would go peep at the good foods people were eating; the chicken, ratatouille and all those yummy delicacies and sumptuous drinks but he would then go back and lock himself in his room thinking “I don’t have any money to buy all these expensive meals”. He would then eat the cheese and crackers (those biscuits eaten by the police in their barracks) he had carried along. This habit continued until now they reached their destination.

One steward who was observant at what he used to do ran after him and said, “Hallow sir,” so the man stopped and greeted back. The steward went forth and asked him, “Sir, have we offended you in any way. I noticed that you never joined us for the meals but instead locked yourself in your room.” The man replied, “No son, you’ve done me no wrong. I didn’t have enough money to pay for all those expensive meals.” The steward looked at him and told him “But sir, all your meals were included in the ticket.”

Most of us are like this man, we live a poor life yet all our good things are included in the ticket; the ticket that is now your life. All your wonderful desires were inclusive when you were landing here on earth so put away all your worries and look unto enjoying a total turn-around.

MOMS' BEHAVIOURS

I have been a keen observant of my parents’ behaviors lately and am getting new ideas by day. The most outstanding amongst these is the love that connects them and the chemistry between these too. I have come to understand that women talk too much than men though in the positive perspective.

When a girl is growing up, her playing reflects her possible future characteristics. When she enters into a room full of different sorts of toys, she will end up picking a doll and things pertaining to a mothers job. She holds her doll, talks to it, “Don’t cry baby, I will give you food, or no, let me first bathe you then dress you up nicely then you can eat and I’ll read you a story so that you can sleep.” So slowly she does all these responsibilities as she continues talking. With time, she is now a grown up lady and gets married and now puts into practice her childhood games.

My mother is a perfect replica of this girl who grows up talking and talking. Just the other day, mom and dad were watching their best programme when suddenly mother stood and said she’s off to bed so she headed to the kitchen, prepared the items that would be used to prepare breakfast in the morning, she then writes each person’s duties for the following day. Her next step was to my brothers bedroom, covers him properly then prepares his school uniform and packs his books in his bag and walks around to check on whether all lights are off and doors closed an if  she’s forgotten anything .

On the other end, my father  yawns and says, “I’m so exhausted, am off to bed,” he switches off the TV and heads to the bedroom. By the time mom is through with her small tasks, dad is fast asleep. It is very important to enlighten girls especially when it comes to home responsibilities, so let us train our young ladies to be women the society can embrace and borrow living ethics from.

DREAM KILLERS AT YOUR DOOR

In life, we face a lot of challenges as we try hard to reach our goals and objectives. It happens that in between, we meet obstacles that we can avoid but we end up choosing not to listen to our inner hopeful voice. People act as the biggest contributors of dragging our zealous hearts to reaching the intended destination. We find kids with high targets in life like wanting to become future pilots, surgeons, engineers, lawyers, judges and the list can go all the way down but as they grow up, they continue lowering their goals until they are fully convinced that it is difficult to reach to the clouds, leave alone the sky.

In a certain village, the frogs’ community arranged for a running competition. The goal was to reach the top of the highest tower in town. A big crowd gathered around the tower to witness the scene and cheer on the participants.

The race began and no one in the crowd really believed that the tiny frogs would reach the target. Statements from the crowd came from all directions that; “oh, it’s way too difficult,” others said, “They will never make it to the top, not a chance they will succeed, the tower is too high!”. The tiny frogs began collapsing one by one except for those who in a fresh tempo were climbing higher and higher.

The crowd continued to yell that it’s impossible and no one would make it. More frogs got tired and gave up but there is this one individual that continued higher and higher and would not give up at any cost until now everyone else had given up and he was the only one who reached the top.

Curiosity built up and all wanted to know how he found the strength to push through and win the race but the most amazing thing was known that day; it turned out that the winner was deaf, amazing, huh?

The greatest weapons the enemy uses to kill our dreams are the nay Sayers. These are people around us who keep telling us that we are dreaming about the impossible and we’re just wasting time. Before long, we convince ourselves that the dream is too big to be achieved by small people like us. Usually, the nay Sayers are always present when you try to do something extra ordinary but they pull you back with negative words. Always be at the lookout for you never know, your dream killer might be the person you trust the most

MY LIFE IN LIONS CAVES

People talk about sex matters everywhere; at home, school, in the streets, the media and mostly, in social media platforms, but how many people stand out to preach against prostitution from their past experiences?

A Kenyan lady, Rahab Omunzi has broken the chains of the obvious and has stood out to fight for the beauties held in the black caves of sexual immorality. She was just like any other commercial sex worker in Nairobi fighting for survival. With 11 years in this business introduced to her by a first liner in church, Rahab straggled living in the terrible harsh condition falling under beds of several men, of different caliber in the name of trying to solve the problems she was facing.

“Man passes through ups and downs and sometimes you question if really God is with you because when you look at the situations at times God seems like He’s not there but I came to realize that if He has marked you, He will do anything to get your attention”, She states. She attended churches but her dressing code and make up made her chased out of the congregation. “People judge and want to back-stab you from who you were. I was a sex worker and addict .I have a scar on my tooth a mark left due to drug addiction”.

There’s a beginning and an end to everything, Rahabs’ revelations towards prostitution had finally come and it was time for a turn around. She began getting thirsty for something else other than getting paid by rogue men to sell her body. In her confident and jovial aura, you can never tell she’s been to dark alleys and abandoned valleys.

“I was high when I was getting saved and had tried everything apart from God” Rahab says adding that before you judge a book by its cover, get to know why. During an interview at N TVs’ CROSSOVER 101, this is what she advised; “From the mess, God has qualified us to talk to the people. Ignorance is not a defense, take back your life by force, only God knows who you are. If I made it out, then anyone else can”.

She’s a perfect replica of a life changer being a pastor and spreading it all around with her initiative Stop Sex Slavery in Africa. As I close, I believe that the greatest gift you can give to someone is your time, attention, love and concern, Rahab has done it already. May you see her life a strong string to connect the lives of the lost and rescue them rather than gossiping and kicking them with words.
